Can NRBs (Non-Resident Bangladeshis) easily buy property?

I’m currently living in the UK and want to buy a flat in Dhaka for my parents. What’s the process for NRBs? Do I need to be physically present for registration?

Also concerned about managing the property from abroad. Any NRBs here who’ve gone through this?

I had the opposite experience actually. In my case, the process was much smoother than expected.

Adding to this — make sure you check the building’s fire safety compliance. Many buildings in Dhaka don’t meet standards.
